"Good hotel for the price and location" 4/5
"The Hotel was ok for a stay of 9 nights to visit SF for the first time with my family. The location is very convenient (close to BART, Union square...) although the neihborhood is a little dirty. But it is safe even in the evening. Many places to get food nearby. Breakfast was ok although there could be more choice at some hours there are too many people and you have to wait a long time to toast your bread! Our room for 4 was really small but it was ok since we did not spend too much time in the hotel! Ask for a room on the back side of the hotel because the streets are very loud! Very comfortable beds. Staff is nice."
Location Nice staff Prices
Small room as far as I'm concerned

"Really liked it" 4/5
"Cute place. Very comfortable for a great price. Nothing ghetto trashy. Valet was 35 bucks. Rooms are tight but nice not dirty at all. Guest allowed to visit. Close to shopping and dining areas. "

"The price was right." 4/5
"Good location but needed to change room from front of building - too noisy (traffic, street noise] Renovated room but cheaply done (furniture, paint job etc). Building is quite old and the whole place needed a REAL facelift and not a cheap cosmetic cover up job. Shame really."
Incredible Staff, No Frills
Better linens -both bed (especially pillows) and bathroom.
Staff were wonderful. Helpful, polite and courteous.
Not exactly a stylish ( and I don't mean extravagant) lodging.

"Good Value!" 4/5
"Great value for S. F. Location very near Union Square and Downtown - unfortunately these destinations boarder a very seedy neighborhood, but that's life in the big city sometimes. Room was a little cramped - King bed in room built for a twin, but what the heck. Had a window that actually opened, which was a bonus. Room and bathroom were clean. Staff was very courteous. Construction going on inside hotel and a lot of workers around moving new furniture in, etc., so they're doing some upgrades, so can't complain. Breakfast?... Not really, don't expect much (coffee, OJ, banana and toast, that's it). It ain't the Ritz, that's for sure, but it's a good bargain if you are staying in the area. "

"Great staff! " 4/5
"Staff was awesome- personable and very helpful! Upgraded my fiancé and I to a king suite just because! Location was perfect without spending too much money! "
Friendly staff, location
No AC in rooms and fans turned off if you didn't continue to walk by them. No fridge in rooms Continental breakfast was a joke! Toast or cheap waffles... Would've loved muffins or Danishes... Overnight parking should be slightly cheaper or have taxes i
