War Memorial Opera House
The Opera House was originally built in 1932 to be the home of both San Francisco’s Opera and Ballet. In honor of the men and women that served in the First World War, the Opera House, Veterans Building, and Memorial Court combine to make the War Memorial of San Francisco. With over 3,000 seats, the center houses events such as Ballets, Operas, recitals, plays, lectures, and gala events.
Tours are scheduled every Monday, except holidays, from 10am to 2pm on the hour every hour. Group tours should be reserved two weeks in advance.
